I got the chicken drunken noodles for lunch. They tasted alright, but the noodles weren't pulled apart properly and they cooked together in huge, chewy chunks (pictured). This really threw the texture of the dish off and it wasn't pleasant to eat. The chicken and vegetables were fine, however. Also, they don't seem to offer any lunch specials anymore. My noodle dish was $14 for lunch, and it didn't even include a cup of soup or a spring roll, which other restaurants often do. The ambiance is really nice and the service was excellent. But because of the cooking issue and the value proposition, I'll probably go elsewhere before I return here.

The food at Saab Sis Thai was good and flavorful, but unfortunately the service didnโ€™t match the quality of the meal. Our waitress was not very attentive to our table, and the service was slow throughout our visit. With more attentive service, this could have been a much better dining experience.

Beautiful from top to bottom! We truly enjoyed the hospitality, accommodation, and flavors of this wonderful restaurant! The food hit on all the tastes of traditional Thai food with the unexpected traditional Thai spice! We loved feeling heat during the meal and we have perhaps never had a better Drunken noodles in all of our time eating Thai food! The noodles themselves are truly a unique large and perfect texture. The flavors of sweet, umami, spice, salt, and acidity was perfectly balanced! We also loved the added taste of charred seasoning which gave it a smoky flavor! The staff were so kind and brought us some free desserts since we were celebrating 2 birthdays! We loved every aspect of thjs restaurant including the beautiful modern/traditional feel! The ambience was beautiful and works well for a great date spot!

I had an amazing experience at Saab Sis. If youโ€™re looking for authentic Thai food, this place truly stands out. The flavors are bold, vibrant, and incredibly authenticโ€”some of the best Thai dishes Iโ€™ve had anywhere. Their curries are excellent, and they serve traditional Thai dishes you donโ€™t usually see on most menus. Everything tastes carefully prepared and full of flavor. Their Pad Thai is also outstanding, perfectly balanced with great texture and authentic flavor. I also highly recommend their Thai iced tea and Thai coffee, which are both rich, refreshing, and pair perfectly with the food. What makes this restaurant even more special is that itโ€™s a woman-owned, family-run business that clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. The food is always prepared fresh and you can taste the quality in every dish. Because everything is made fresh, they do get busy and wait times can sometimes be longer than usual. However, the food always comes out fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious, which makes the wait well worth it. If youโ€™re looking for authentic Thai cuisine, amazing curries, great Pad Thai, and a restaurant that truly cares about quality, Saab Sis is definitely wor

My girlfriend and I were exploring Detroit on Thanksgiving Day, hoping to find a spot for dinner, and Saab Sis Thai in Royal Oak was a lifesaverโ€”it was open, welcoming, and just perfect for a cozy evening. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to sit down and relax. The service was friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. As for the foodโ€”it did not disappoint. The spring rolls were classic and delicious, and every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality. Overall, a solid Thai spot with a great vibe, excellent service, and tasty food. Definitely a place Iโ€™d go back to without hesitation.
